My favorite book is "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. This story is one of the well-known works of the writer. The author portrays the characters and the old boy, and their relationship very clearly and efficiently. Santiago, the old man, was one of the favorite characters of the writer. The old man was born a fisherman but he was not a butcher, and fished for life. He was very lonely. He devoted friend - the boy, Manolin. The boy loved the old man for his kind heart, his devotion to the sea. Manolin was the son of Santiago. He cared about the old food and his property. The old man was glad to share my experience to the boy. He hoped that occurs in the sea with the boy. Throughout his life, Santiago was preparing to do battle with big fish. He knew that he was born for this, and it time to prove it. The strong man, at last, met strong fish. The battle was difficult and full of danger. Although sharks eat fish, and nothing remained except the spine, the old moral and won the battle. Santiago, the words "a person can not be destroyed but not defeated" is the main idea of this story. "The Old Man and the Sea" is a masterpiece for its creative language and descriptions of nature.
